The Meaning Behind Our Name
Meet our Founder
Calla Delsignore is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of experience in the medical field. She came by aesthetics as an avenue to combine her love of beauty, creative expression, and education to empower women.
Her minimalist approach to aesthetics places a high importance on skin health and whole-body wellness. Her mission is to connect deeply with her patients and engage in a shared decision-making process for their treatment plan. She strives to empower patients with knowledge, while also boosting their confidence.
She believes that every person is uniquely beautiful and her goal is to honor and elevate their best sense of self. Calla injects (pun intended) compassion and humor into her patient interactions and creates a safe space that makes them feel at ease.
Calla obtained her undergraduate degree from The University of Massachusetts and completed her master's degree at Frontier Nursing University, graduating both programs with high honors.
She has trained in neuromodulators (botox/dysport) and dermal fillers with many of the top injectors and key opinion leaders including Rana Kennelly and Erika Barry.
Her background in emergency medicine and family practice lend themselves well to her deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the whole human experience.
Her passion for aesthetics extends to her love of the arts, architecture, design, fashion, and nature. Her love of travel encompasses all of these things. She is a certified yoga instructor, a metalsmith trained in Italy, a horse girl at heart, and a professional shower singer.
When she is not working with patients, she can be found doing yoga, hiking, running, and biking throughout the beautiful Berkshires. She feels lucky to call Berkshire County home and loves nothing more than contributing to the community members around her and making the world a more loving and peaceful place.
Esthetician & Certified Acne Expert
Lorna Burnham, LE
Lorna is a dedicated skincare professional with a deep passion for skin health and self-care. Educated in Hawaii, she brings a strong foundation in the power of touch, the importance of protection, and creating personalized skincare routines tailored to each client.
Since joining L’io in its early days, Lorna has developed a true love for advanced skincare techniques. She offers results-driven, corrective treatments while continuing to expand her knowledge and help drive our growth in advanced modalities and technology.
Known for her exceptional massage and calming presence, Lorna creates a treatment experience that is both deeply relaxing and highly effective. Her clients trust her for her ability to balance results with a sense of ease and restoration.
Outside of the treatment room, Lorna enjoys romanticizing everyday life—spending time with friends, exploring new places, visiting cozy coffee shops, cooking, and reading the classics.
Lead Esthetician
Emily LaDouceur, LE
Emily LaDouceur is a licensed esthetician with over eight years of experience in the skincare and wellness industry. She began her career as a brow expert with Benefit Cosmetics and has since spent five years working within luxury wellness resorts, honing her ability to deliver both results-driven treatments and deeply relaxing experiences.
Emily specializes in customized facials, is a certified acne expert, and offers advanced treatments including our BBL HEROic laser. She also has a passion for prenatal skincare, thoughtfully incorporating pregnancy-safe botanicals to create nurturing, supportive treatments for expecting clients.
Known for her calm, steady presence and warm, welcoming nature, Emily brings a sense of ease to every treatment. Her genuine care, attention to detail, and love for skincare are felt by everyone who spends time in her room.
Outside of the treatment room, Emily enjoys tending to her garden, reading, and taking walks with her dog, Davis. She is deeply caring by nature, always showing up for those in her life with kindness and intention.
Front End Manager & Digital Content Specialist
Helen Pajeski
If you’ve visited L’io, you’ve likely met Helen—our Front End Manager and a calm, creative presence at the heart of our space. She ensures the front end runs seamlessly, managing inventory, scheduling, client communication, and the many moving parts of daily operations with ease. Her warm welcome is often the first touchpoint of the L’io experience.
Helen also leads our digital presence, from crafting newsletters and designing visual elements to creating Instagram content and shaping the overall brand aesthetic. Her artistic eye and intuitive sense of beauty are reflected in everything she does.
Known for her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for each client, Helen is both a thoughtful guide and a creative force within our community.

Ashley Nolan, LE
Esthetician and Lash Artist
Ashley began her esthetics journey as a lash artist in Long Island before making her way to the serene Berkshires. Now immersed in the world of wellness, she offers deeply restorative facials and body treatments (coming soon to L'io) that care for both skin and soul. Ashley is fascinated with the study of lymph and brings that expertise to the treatment room.
Outside of the treatment room, Ashley can be found with her pup Layla and fiancé Jake, enjoying the slow living of the Berkshires.
Grace Heimann
Part Time Receptionist & Client Experience
Grace is our wonderful weekend receptionist, keeping things running smoothly on Saturdays and Sundays. A Pittsfield native, she spent time in California for university and has since returned home to the Berkshires while pursuing her nursing degree. Sweet, soft-spoken, and smart, Grace takes excellent care of our clients and brings a calming presence to the front desk.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, practicing yoga, and finding time to relax. We’re so grateful to have her as part of our team as her kind nature brings a warm sense of comfort to our space.
